Clugston Distribution Services has once again supported National Road Safety Week in conjunction with North Lindsey College, Scunthorpe.
The event was held at North Lindsey College Event Centre on 20th November as part of "Road Safety Week", an annual event founded by Brake, the road safety charity.
Clugston displayed one of its bulk road tankers at the entrance to the college and had members of staff on hand throughout the day to promote key aspects of road safety to students and visitors.
Alongside Clugston, there were a host of organisations supporting the initiative, including EMS (Environmental Monitoring Solutions), CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), Defibshop (Defibrillator demos), Humberside Fire and Rescue, Traffic Police and Wheels to Work. Driving test checks tyre checks from the College's Motor Vehicle Department also supported the event.
Clugston Distribution Director Tim Doggett said: “Road Safety Week is a very worthwhile annual campaign. This forms part of our ongoing commitment to continually improve road safety for all our employees and members of the public.
We are hoping the event will particularly promote road safety and awareness to a younger audience, some of whom may be learning to how to drive or ride a motorcycle, which is a pivotal time to learn about such a subject.”
