We are delighted to announce that we have achieved a major safety milestone after reaching one million work hours without a reportable accident on two of our major projects
Workers on the £252 million Avonmouth Resources Recovery Centre (RRC), jointly delivered by Clugston and French process engineering partner CNIM, as well as the £180 million Parc Adfer Energy from Waste (EfW) plant in Flintshire, North Wales both reached the landmark in September.
On the back of the milestone, the second time the feat has been achieved by the Avonmouth Energy from Waste (EfW) team.
Mark Atkinson, health and Safety Manager at Clugston Group said: “We are delighted to be celebrating one million hours accident free on not just one, but two of our biggest projects. This is one of our best performances for the number of hours worked without any first aid incidents and significantly exceeds our company target of no more than one first aid accident for every 100,000 hours worked.
It is an achievement that has been made possible through our dedication to worker engagement, coordination and cooperation, which has enabled Clugston to maintain an exemplary health and safety record. Our partners CNIM have also been a fantastic team and the cooperation and the coordination between our two companies has been excellent".
