Clugston a Major Winner on new £2bn YORbuild 2 framework
Clugston Construction has recently been announced as one of the biggest winners with comprehensive regional coverage on the new £2bn YORbuild2 framework. In fact Clugston has achieved a 100 percent success rate by securing a place on every one of the Lots we targeted.
The new YORbuild2 Framework - covering projects within Yorkshire, Humber, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire - replaces the original YORbuild framework which expired last November. It has been enhanced to include additional forms of contract and a BIM capability as well as more detailed requirements covering the needs of the Social Value Act - local employment and training initiatives, improved sustainability performance and regional supply chain intiatives.
YORbuild 2 is now one of the largest public sector procurement vehicles for new build, refurbishment and design & build construction projects in the Yorkshire and Humber regions. It’s subdivided into four regions encompassing all 22 local authorities within the Yorkshire and Humber area.
Clugston proved successful on the 12 lots it targeted across these four areas and includes works in the following categories:
- £250,000 - £1 million
- £1 – 4 million
- £4-10 million
- over £10 million
YORbuild has historically been the primary procurement vehicle for local authorities like Leeds City Council, Sheffield City Council, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Scarborough Borough Council. It has also been widely used by the EFA, Universities, Colleges and bluelight authorities to procure projects.
The framework agreement will initially be for a period of four years, but has an option to extend for a further two years.
